Anyone have personal experience with one of these? I just welded in the 3" moroso spiral flow muffler. Exhaust is as follows: 2.5" dp, 3" exhaust with 3" hi flow cat, 3" moroso spiral flow, then 3" Magnaflo straight through muffler.

At initial start up the car is louder than before. I drove it around the block and the car is MUCH LOUDER than it was before up to about 4K rpm. After about 4K rpm the car is quieter. :?: :?: I figure ok it must be an exhaust leak. I replaced a shoddy looking gasket, checked the others, which looked perfect and drove again. SAME RESULT. I put the car up on 4 jack stands and went under neath the car while it was running and felt, looked, listened for leaks and can NOT find an exhaust leak anywhere. Not even a pinhole one.

WTF gives? is this thing known for amplifying slower traveling exhaust gas? All i was looking to do was quiete down some of the top end, not make the cruising around town unbearably loud! lol

I hate bashing but i am honestly very unhappy with Moroso at this point. I spoke with technical support and basically they said there's no way possible for it to make a car louder and they offered no help or anything. I felt like they don't care about their customers or their products. So now i have a peice of junk 50 dollar part that i now need to cut off my car just so i can weld back in the original peice of pipe.

awesome. giant waste of money and time.

These are just my thoughts on the subject, but I've been told therapy can help those...

placement with-in an exhaust system can also play an effect on exhaust sound.
